The second generation MHT Smark Desk enables a fully powered desk solution from only 2 PoE cables. A typical use case is simultaneously adjusting a motorized desk height, powering a computer monitor, and charging a USB-C PD laptop computer. Presently, both Linak and Jiecang motorized desks are enabled with this solution.
The second generation system includes a dual PoE interface connected to 2 MHTi-NODE-90 programmable 19.5V power supplies. The outputs of the 2 nodes are combined with a DC interface to provide up to 120W for monitor and laptop charging. The node outputs are also connected to a desk interface that powers and communicates with the desk motor controllers.
Another configuration includes a hub or docking station that provides additional interfaces like HDMI video ports and USB mouse and keyboard accessories. The dual PoE interface only consumes one of the data channels for both nodes. The second data channels is exposed and can be connected directly to a PC or the hub or docking station.
