MHT Super Node Demo Kit

The Super Node Demo Kit showcases the integration of Lights and Shades with a common Wall Plate control. The shades and lights can be operated independently which demonstrates the flexibility of configuring the Super Node for numerous applications. 

Wiring

At the center of the drawing the Super Node connects to the Wall Controls and various Lights. The PoE Switch to the side powers and networks the other devices. A second 2 output Node drives a Mecho Shade. Whereas a PoE Somy Shade can be powered directly from the PoE Switch.

Inspextor Server handles the integration between the typical CoAP messaging between nodes and redirects control events via HTTPS to the Somfy Shade.

Control Narrative

The following narrative describes the independent operation of each device. Momentary Push Button and and On-On Toggle Switches are used to control the behave. These control changes are handled by Super Node by transmitting events to the other devices. The lights are controlled directly. But the shades are remote. The events are received by the remote 2 Output node and translated for Mecho. Whereas, inspextor server handles the translation for Somfy.

3. Somfy Shade Open (100%) - Momentary On-On Toggle Up
4. Somfy Shade Close (0%)- Momentary On-On Toggle Down
5. Mecho Shade Up (hold to increase) - Momentary On-On Toggle Up
6. Mecho Shade Down (hold to decrease) - Momentary On-On Toggle Down
7. Tunable Light Warm/Cool (3000k / 5000k CCT) - Momentary Push Button
8. Strip Light On/Off (100% / 0% dim) - Momentary Push Button

Components

The bill of materials includes the 2 MHTi nodes and Inspextor Server. Wall Controls are provided by Meljac. And shade are supplied by Mecho and Somfy.
